Bad Hair Day

My visiting teacher came today for a visit. Her hair looked CRAZY. I thought maybe she had just woken up and came straight to my house for the visit. Then when she said that she almost forgot, I thought that it helped confirm my theory. Still, I wondered why she would dare go out into public with her hair the way it was--I mean CRAZY! A little while into her visit, she reached up to scratch her head, or something, and she started laughing. She explained that she had teased her hair and then had forgotten to comb it back down. She couldn't believe not only that she had forgotten about it, but also that her husband had neglected to say anything about it when she left the house (silly husband--what was he thinking?). She was so embarrassed and couldn't stop saying so as she furiously tried to comb out her hair with her fingers. I, of course, had no idea what to say because I had thought her hair horrendous and was just glad that she was fixing it so that I didn't have to continue avoiding eye contact with the sweet lady. Moral of the story: I don't know, but that poor husband was probably going to hear about it. At least it made me feel a little better about my own bad hair day I was having.

Ha, ha, ha! Meg, that was hilarious! Poor lady. I have just recently discovered the virtue of owning a plain, white ball cap to throw on whenever I am having a bad hair day - which seems to be all too often lately. Thank goodness I'm finally getting my hair cut tomorrow!!
