The past couple of weeks we have been practicing in the Easter Pageant and tonight is our last rehearsal before we start performances next week for two weeks. Jeber has figured out his costume changes (he has three different costumes--multitude, baptised man, and thief on the cross) and that keeps him busy. After a scene or two he has to basically sprint to the costume tent to change fast enough to get back in time for the next scene he is in. I have only seen him in his thief loin cloth once when they let the cast watch the crucifixion scene so Michelle will have to tell me AND Margo about what she sees : ) He also looks very interesting in make-up---probably not a sight I want to see very often! He has recovered from getting spray tanned. I guess they thought it would look a little bit weird to have him standing on the cross with a major farmer's tan. I wasn't sure the tan would do much for his already pretty dark skin but you can see a big difference on his legs, the part of his body that sees the least amount of sun. I am in the multitude and a rock follower in the baptism scene (no, I don't follow the rocks. I am a follower of Christ and sit on the rock in the baptism scene). I didn't have to get spray tanned or sprint to make any costume changes so I live vicariously through Jeber. Anyway, it's been an adventure so far--let's see what happens in the next two weeks.

That is hilarious about the spray tan! I didn't even think about that. However, back in that time period I'm sure everyone had farmer's tans, too. I mean, they didn't walk around in loin cloths every day either. But I guess it would be pretty distracting to see a major farmer tan in what is supposed to be a very tender/emotional scene in the pageant. Can't wait to see pictures of you guys!!
HEEHEEHAHA!!! This is going to be FUN!
That is so fun you guys are in the pagaent and that you have some fun rolls! Very cool, I can't wait to go see it!!!
