Once we got there, we got to work--my mom helping with the costumes and Jeber and I learning our parts of the pageant (we were in the cast). We spent the first week during the days learning our parts, and the nights we spent in costume playing pioneer games with people who came to see the pageant, getting referrals for the missionaries, and performing in the finale of the pageant. Jeber and I were in charge of helping with the handcarts.

Here we are rehearsing on the slanted stage with our camelpaks--Jeber in the yellow and me in the blue.

The second week we had our days free since we had already learned our parts by that time. So, we had time for photo sessions at the temple, ...........

A little sightseeing around Nauvoo and Carthage and such, ..................

and for a few other little fun things....

We spent the nights of the second week talking to the audience before the pageant started and asking them for referrals. Some nights we were more productive than others. Luckily, Jeber was able to find quite a few Spanish speaking families that had come to see the pageant and was able to use the Spanish he learned on his mission to get referrals from them.

And of course, the nights of the second week were also filled with performing in the pageant. (Can you find us?)

Fun pictures! Looks like you got to do a lot of neat things. I thought your camera got stolen, though. Guess I was thinking of everything else you took with you to Nauvoo??
Basically anything electronic or that could have been sold to someone else for a decent amount of money was left for us. Things that had no value to someone else but would cost us a lot to replace was stolen. Go figure!
I didn't know you got to do that!! I should have asked you all about it at Girls night, sounds like so much fun! What a neat experience!!
