Summer is over

9 month (almost 2months ago) stats:
              18lbs (10th percentile)
              29in long (75th percentile)
The day before his 9month bday he finally figured out how to put little food items in his mouth.  He likes to messy when eating, which is understandable.  But must he touch his hair so often when he has food all over his hands?

This is the official "before" picture.  Keep this image in the back of your mind for later.  Notice the long hair that curls out at the ends---so cute but hard to keep tangle-free.

We took him to a kids' salon for his first hair-cut away from home and failed to ask the cost before we got started---bad move on our part!  He loved it.  He thought that car was awesome and was having too much fun to worry about holding still.

He was professional at driving that car.

Here is the "after".  Handsome huh?  No, we  did not ask her to make him look like Justin Beiber--it just happened.  And not to worry, it has already grown out almost back to the point of looking like the "before" picture.

We took a family outing to the farm one night to check out the animals, sample some fresh and locally made ice cream, eat some Indian fry bread, and buy some salsa.

He discovered the drawer under the oven and the joys of playing with pots and pans.

He played with the pots and pans so hard that he fell asleep in his high chair.  (This same day he bit me so hard that I bled---and I am not talking about on my arm.)

And then he played with the lids.  Oh, and don't forget the spatula---that is a crucial part.  It is the perfect tool to drum on the lids with.

And we decided to go camping.  We went to abuelita's house to pick up her port-a-crib and as we were leaving he waved bye.  That was his first time waving and it made grandma very happy.
Anyway, so we tagged along with Mark, Rachel, Matt, Jason, Michelle, and little girlas up past Payson and stayed Thursday night-Sunday morning.  It rained every day.
Papa and baby playing in our tent.  He was aching to get down and crawl the whole time we were there so we tried to let him play inside the tent as much as we could.

He had fun playing on the parked toys with the girlas.  He got lots of attention from them, especially from baby k.

He had to try out each of the toys.  He went for a couple of rides with his dad and got upset when his dad stopped.

Oops, got him with his eyes closed.  Basically his dad is starting his training early.  Jeber would love to have a dirt bike and thought his baby should start to love it too.

Looking good!

"How do I start this thing?"

Jeber went for a ride with all the the boys and they came back soaked from all the rain.  He had not brought extra pants so he wore my extra.  He looks much cuter in them than I do.  Parley loved to be able to see everything that was going on around.

We went for walks in the woods.

And our little girla friends had to come.  I love this picture

Here is our little tent.  See the mist of rain?  I didn't mind the rain terribly but could have done without the coyotes howling all night and keeping my awake out of fear for the lives of me and my two boys

Taking a walk with tio Matt and baby k was lots of fun.

And then we came home and he was in crawling heaven.  He started saying "mama" and "dada" by request.  What a stud!

"We represent the lollipop guild..."

He has become very aware of cameras and it sometimes makes candids very difficult.

It was a good summer while it lasted.  It included lots of cuddle time, playing, and overall enjoying each other's company.  And then teachers meetings started and our summer and his ninth month came to an end.
Up next: and update on 10 month happenings
