our summer

With the beginning of August came the final days of our countdown to our family changing forever.  We had some very lazy days of continuing to try and adjust to being home together.  Some days like this:
Thank goodness he will eat apples since he pretty much never eats anything!
On the 5th we decided to take the last opportunity we would have to take pictures as a family of three......in August........in one of the hottest places ever.......outside...........9 months pregnant!  Needless to say, thank you Margo so much for taking them but, to the rest of you---look at these at your own risk :)  I don't mess around.  When I get pregant, I get really pregnant--all over.

Later that night the boys hung out on our bed watching a movie.  They are both SO handsome.

I continued to try to entertain little one and keep him busy.  He loves this activity so much that every time I get a baking sheet out of the cupboard he thinks we are doing it and he gets very upset if we don't.

I tried to rearrange some things in their room and gets things ready for Princess so I wouldn't have to worry about it after she came.

Above Handsome's bed:

Handsome's big boy bed with the bear I have had since I was little:

Above her crib (my mom gave me that Dorothy in high school after I got to be Dorothy for our choir's performance of the Wizard of Oz review):

And her bed:
I took apart his bed skirt and used some of it that his bed didn't need to make her bed skirt.  Since it wasn't very girly I had to add some feminine touches.  The pink gingham was mine when I was a baby and the crocheted throw underneath it my grandma F made before she passed away.
And the dresser:

Handsome LOVES playing in the water and I didn't know when he would get a chance to go again for a long time so on the 9th I took him to the splash pad to play.  I think he had more fun watching the other little kids (it was packed) than playing in the water.  We spent a few hours there going back and forth between the splash pad and the little playground next door.

And that pretty much wrapped up our summer and our life as a family of three.
