October

October
Well, in October I got October break off--which I am sure I loved every minute of (have no idea what we did).  Early on in the month you could tell P was getting ready to walk.  His balance was getting really good and he took a few very small steps every now and then.

That is a TV box P is standing on.  We kept it at the end of our bed for weeks and it was P's favorite to climb on, stand on, play on.....

Yes, his hair was getting a little long but I LOVED the curls

He got a haircut and we chopped off the curl :(

This kid loves candy just like his father!  The picture is blurry in the corner because he touched the camera lens with his chocolate finger.

We bought him a big boy car seat and he practiced sitting in it while it was in the house.

Getting into trouble--pretty typical
Baby P turned ONE!  To celebrate his birthday, we woke up and went for a ride to pick up Jeber and take him to a tree job.  On our way home we got Wendy's to eat for breakfast in the car.  We got home and cleaned up the house and P's room a little bit.
Aunt Margo came over for P's very own photo shoot.  I wanted pictures of him in his own room/house and they turned out pretty cute despite the fact that he was SOOOO past ready for a nap (Aunt Margo was a little late).  He is one stinking handsome kid (or as Grandma Hancock would say--"He's just too pretty to be a boy").

After the photo shoot, he and I went for a walk around the neighborhood.  It didn't take long for that to put him to sleep and he continued to sleep in his stroller in his room for a long while when we got home.  After Jeber got home and P woke up, we took him to Freestone Park.  He rode on the carousel for the first time, we all rode on the train (which he LOVED), I cried a little bit, and it got dark so we went home.
In his baby car seat for one of the last times---notice how his feet are touching the seat and his knees are having to bend.  He was getting just a little bit long for that thing.

Playing with daddy while we waited for the train.

THe next day we had a little family birthday fiesta at Falcon Field park to celebrate.  P loved crawling around in the grass while the older kids played on the playground.

He is being festive by dressing as Nacho Libre--too cute!

This picture kills me

We ate taco salad and Mexican style corn-on-the-cob and drank horchata.

Loving his very own little cake.

And then we opened presents.

I made a Nacho Libre cake (can you tell it's a wrestling ring--obviously I know NOTHING about cakes) and a Tres Leches cake that tasted a million times better than what it looked.
Went to the doctor for his 12month appointment:
31.25 in tall--90%
21lbs. 2 oz.--25%

Loving his daddy!

Then a couple of weeks later it was time to start celebrating Halloween. We went to our Ward TRunk or treat and he loved being around all the kids.

His 'stache was killer!--I wish we had a better picture of it.

The next night we were at home watching tv in our room and he just started walking. He was so excited!

We went to my parents' Ward Halloween carnival the day before Halloween and he had fun getting in the bounce house and eating treats.

I think that is pretty much October.
