March

March was full of Easter Pageant.  It was a lot of work with two kids---one a very active toddler, the other a nursing momma's girl.  It would have been A LOT harder without my mom backstage helping a ton!  We had NO problems getting brother to wear his costume and sister never bothered her cute little pink veil.  It was a lot of work but worth it when brother would ask to go to the temple everyday.  His favorite scene was the one when Jesus rides in on the donkey and we got to wave our arms and shout Hosanna!  He was so cute waving his little arm and hearing him shout hosanna.  Don't even get me started on how amazingly cute he was trying to kneel!!!  He would just bend his ankle back a little bit and stand so awkwardly.  It was my favorite! During the healing and teaching, a very reverent scene where we are supposed to be witnessing Jesus perform miracles, we were assigned to be on stage at the edge of the stage at one end.  Handsome was a handful during this scene, or at least got to be that way the longer and longer that the pageant went on.  He would want to stand right at the edge of the stage and scare me half to death.  BUt better be careful trying to grab him or pull him away from the edge as he just might throw a fit....on stage.....while Jesus is performing sacred miracles. (True story, one or two nights).  Or be careful letting him get too close to the edge of the stage or he just might throw his hat....... off the stage and into the grass in front of him.....while Jesus is healing the blind man (True story two nights).  Princess was great on stage.  I think she was mesmerized by all the lights and everything going on.  The hardest part was trying to keep handsome contained backstage, past his bed time, in the dark, when you are supposed to be quiet.  He wanted to RUN......backstage, understage, to the sheep, to his friend Tre.....anywhere.

At the beginning of the month, Princess proved she could sit all by herself, she just chose not to most of the time.

On Monday the second week handsome went to the doctor and doctor said he had pink eye (I am pretty sure it wasn't!) so we stayed home from Pageant the next night.  Then the day or two after that princess had the same symptoms---gunk coming out of her eyes but they weren't red.  She cleared up in about a day without meds while it lasted a few days for handsome with meds.  He was coughing all throughout the month too.  He had so much crap in his chest and he would cough and cough trying to get it up and eventually throw it all up.  On the last night of Easter Pageant, before the last couple of scenes and like literally 15 minutes before we were supposed to turn in our costumes, handsome had a coughing spell and threw up all over his costume and mine.

Easter Pageant practices are a lot of work.  Can you see sister napping with daddy?

Experimenting with underwear for the first time

Did I mention Easter Pageant is tiring?  Baby sleeping in car seat and brother trying to stay awake on my shoulder.

He made a few friends at Pageant this year

Had tons of fun together backstage

Playing with sister's beautiful hair

First time napping in her crib

Those cheeks!!!

This is when I decided it was really time to start the crib thing
