February was full of rehearsals, concerts, auditions--all for my students, mixed in with teacher meetings and a parent night at school---it was too much all at once. But aside from that:
Baby had fun in the backyard, as usual.
After all that playing outside, you have to rest and relax too.
We went to the temple to take some pictures for something we were auditioning for. I can't believe how old he looks.
On the 13th, baby was playing in his room. He was sitting at his little table and at some point stood up on his chair. I don't remember exactly what happened when but I know I left the room at some point for some reason (I know, I am a terrible mom) and came running back when I heard his screams only to find him toppled onto the ground with his chair knocked over. I picked him up to find his mouth gushing blood. When the bleeding slowed down a little you could see that he had bitten his lip and there was a part of it, a chunk, just hanging there--not quite bitten completely off, but almost. I took him to his doctor who said that a plastic surgeon would be the one who would give him stitches but that it was going to scar with or without stitches so he would skip the nuisance of stitches if he were me.
Jeber took us to the zoo. Baby LOVED riding around on his dad's back and even kept his hat on most of the time because dad was wearing a hat.
He was way too un-afraid of the goats and Jeber had to help him be gentle.
