May felt like a very busy month for me. I suppose it was all of the wrapping up the school year stuff. Handsome started the month off with a bang by getting some precious baby-practice time with his newest cousin. During school I got a couple of texts with pictures of handsome holding his brand-new cousin and they made my day. From what I am told, he wanted to hold her and then would scream when they took her away from him!
One of my pregancy side-effects this time around is that something sounds really good to eat---until I make it. Remembering the times when my sister made this yummy treat when I was younger, I made this fruit pizza for my boys and I to enjoy for dessert one night. Jeber liked it but it didn't do much for me.
Sometimes little one and I eat breakfast in bed. And sometimes we are so hungry that we can't help but shove it in our faces.

The next weekend Jeber decided to build a little shed thing at the side of our house. Little one is quite the helper. Here he is chillin' on the way back from a trip to Home Depot.
He thought Home Depot was lots of fun!
And he of course has to be big like daddy!
It was really fun until he got his arm stuck.
Help!
I had moved the twin bed into little one's room so that he could start sleeping in it to get used to it before baby comes; that and we were afraid for his life with his persistent climbing out of his crib. So finally on the 12th we bought a bed rail off of craigslist and he slept in his big boy bed for the first time. He did awesome! I rocked him like normal, put him in the bed, and he rolled right onto his tummy like always and went to sleep. What a stud!
So, my mornings are kept busy with keeping track of his shenanigans. This particular morning he decided to trash the bathroom by shredding the toilet paper that was left on the roll. At least he wasn't playing in or putting something into the toilet!!!!!!--which is his usual stunt.
On the 17th I had my last ever Brimhall concert and was glad when it was over---there were a lot of things to be done at school that couldn't be done until the concert was out of the way.
A man in our ward passed away and his wife (who calls herself P's grandma) asked me to lead the music at the funeral that weekend. Jeber and handsome dropped me off and stopped in to show their support, then went to play while I stayed and tried to do a good job.
Handsome loves this Noah's Ark that plays "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and rocks back and forth. Grandma got it for him at the thrift store.
And then the sleeping fun began. After a week and a few days of doing awesome in his big boy bed, he suddenly doesn't want to go right to sleep when I put him in his bed and I have to stay right there by him until he is completely asleep. This sometimes takes quite a while as he does all sorts of things to keep himslef awake. Some nights I have to hold his hand while he falls asleep, some nights I have to rock him FOREVER to fall really asleep before I put him in his bed..... It's pretty frustrating since he had been doing SO good. Once he is asleep he is good to go. He doesn't wake up in the middle of the night and escape or anything like that, but he is fighting the initial falling asleep.
At school, the concert is over so I have the kiddos helping me pack up the room, send away instruments, organize music, etc. The end of the year got busy with concert, awards assemblies, meetings, extra hours to fit in packing, etc. Handsome came in a morning or two to help me and found some magnets. This began his love affair with magnets--he thinks they are the coolest things.
The last day of school for the students came and went and the next day was the last day for teachers. They had a little lunch for the staff that day and my name got drawn and I won $20. Jeber and I used it that night to eat at a Mexican restaurant to celebrate.
Handsome's hair was getting pretty long. I like it long because I LOVE the curls that appear but I know it gets hot with all of that thick, long hair in the heat.
So our new friend Emily gave him a cut. The curls got chopped but he still looks darn handsome!
And we finished off the month with a nude day. Little one got so mad when, after taking off his pajamas and his dirty diaper, I tried to put on a clean diaper and clothes for the day. He wanted to be naked! Finally after a little while, no accidents thankfully, I convinced him to get dressed so we could go bye-bye in the car. I had a picture of his cute nakedness but decided to remove it--little stinker!
