A Blessing for Our Little Blessing

The day after Christmas was the day for us to bless our sweet baby.  He was so tired before church, he fell asleep with his finger in his mouth sitting up in his boppy pillow.  Very unusual for this kid.
He slept through me getting him dressed and everything.

We got to the chapel about 30 minutes before and I went to the mother's lounge to finish feeding him.  Luckily, my parents and grandparents were already there and saving 2 benches because the people in our ward get there early.  He finished eating and we went back into the chapel.  I got to take the sacrament for the first time in a few weeks--I am usually in the mother's room.  We need to figure out our timing better.  Then it was time for daddy to take him in his arms and give him a special blessing.  Parley was perfect--awake but not fussing.  What an angel!  Standing in the circle with Jeber were my dad, grandpa Hancock, and Clay Layton.  These people were present to support and love Parley: my mom & dad, grandma and grandpa Hancock, mel, dana, mikane, caleb, hayley, tacey, michael, jason, michelle, garrison, tyler, camille, brooke, kira, trevin, margo, katelyn, matt, kristi, mark, rachel, gestating baby, clay, and barbara.

Our cute little family. (See Jeber's long hair?)

Handsome with his grandparents
After sacrament meeting we went to my parents for lunch.  We ate ham, baked potatoes, rice, black beans, veggies, pineapple juice, apple crisp, cheesecake, strawberry cupcakes....

We didnt get any pictures of darling in his outfit by himself, but he was definitely handsome and looking old.  We will have to do a little photo shoot in the next couple of days.  Overall, it was a great day!
