This year we celebrated our 3rd year of wedded bliss. Okay, okay......it hasn't all been bliss, but it has been 3 years of us both learning A LOT (about each other and about ourselves) and being pretty happy overall. And this year was great to celebrate with the newest member of our family who is making us even happier. I usually feel like you have to do something to celebrate, but we had no plans and just did stuff at our own slow pace and it was great! I also love that neither of us felt like we needed a break from our little one for a little alone time together on this day. It didn't even cross my mind. After all, what better way to celebrate our love than to spend the day with the one our love created.
We started the day slow at home with Jeber making us a delicious breakfast--eggs, turkey bacon, and toast. Then we got ready for the day and at about noon we went to Costco for an eye appointment for Jeber. After getting his glasses all picked out, we drove to Chandler to buy a couple of things we had been wanting to get for baby. We then visited one of Jeber's old friends who had been wanting to see our BEAUTIFUL baby.
We were getting hungry and I have always wanted to eat at the Landmark, so we decided to give it a try. Baby was tired and slept the whole time. We must have been there earlier than the normal dinner crowd because it was full of old people. Anyway! No we did not get the salad room but our food was pretty good and fulled us right up ( :

Jeber's meal. This doesn't do justice to the size of the big hunk-o-meat that was on his plate. They must have served him half the lamb all at once. |
After dinner we went to Milano's to see about getting a guitar case or stand for the guitar Margo and Trevin gave us for Christmas, then walked across the street to see the pianos we are going to save up to buy someday. Baby was getting hungry after his long nap so then we sat in the truck to let him eat. And lastly, we drove to the temple and walked around. Baby loved being able to see all of the lights and kept his eyes open wide.
We didn't plan the whole dressing alike thing |
This carrier is one of the things we bought earlier in the day. Now I have one kind, and Jeber has one that works for him. |
Baby and daddy followed the star to find baby Jesus |
Thanks for the hat grandma--it's just what we needed! |
